With the success of the past two years of wiffle ball, we are hosting the 3rd Annual OAOA Wiffle Ball Tournament. You will get to sign up to be on teams of 8 - 12 and we will run as a tournament with 3 innings and winners will advance.
It's time for Wiffle Ball!!
Top Five Things to Do to Prep for The 2025 OAOA Wiffle Ball Tournament:
- Start stretching
- "Wind" sprints (walking in the wind counts)
- Review rules of Wiffle ball (Hint: similar to baseball)
- Practice nice heckling

Rules:
- Innings: A game is usually three innings long.
- Outs: Each team is allowed three outs per inning.
- Pitches: Each team will pitch to their teammates. A max of five pitches is allowed. If a player does not hit the ball in play in those five pitches, then that hitter is considered out.
- Mercy rule: If a team is ahead by ten runs after three innings, the game ends.
- Scoring: A run is scored when a player runs around all the bases and back to home.
- Stealing: Stealing bases is not permitted.
- Base runners: Base runners can't lead off and can only leave the base after the ball is hit.
- Home runs: A ball that clears the outfield fence is a home run.
- Foul balls: Hitting the ball to the right of first base or left of third base is a foul.
- Tagging: Players can either be tagged or be hit with a thrown ball by the opposite team to be considered out.
